We feel proud to introduce our own train journey “Chaski Antawa – Messenger train” with 30 passengers capacity. Kleintours´ train rides the magical province of Imbabura “The Lakes Region”, home of the most outstanding ethnic groups in Ecuador and where Otavalo the largest indigenous market in South America is located. The route was first inaugurated in the 1900´s. During the visited portion from Ibarra to Salinas Station (26 km) you can experience the descent from the 2,200 to 1500 meters (7216 to 4920 feet) in approximately two hours where the landscape changes spectacularly.It is a community based tourism project involving the best landscapes, archeological ruins, culture, indigenous communities, adventure and gastronomy. Trips are available for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days in Private and Semi-private basis with its guarantee departures every Tuesday and Saturday which perfectly matches with our Galapago Cruises.
