Dear Clients and Travelers:

Due to a devastating earthquake in Japan a Tsunami warning was issued for the Pacific coast including Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.

The Ecuadorian Government and Marine Authorities started with the evacuation process early in the morning. In the Galapagos Islands the population will be evacuated to the highlands for their safety, it is mandatory to move away of the coastal shore.  Our passengers will remain on board our fleet, M/V Galapagos Legend and M/Y Coral I & II  that are currently navigating to eastern Isabella Island all together.  Today´s visits and excursions are not allowed they have been suspended by the National Park authorities, even though the main wave is expected to arrive at 23:30 GMT to the Galapagos Islands.

The Ecuadorian Navy and Oceanographic Institute will continue monitoring the sea level for population and travelers´ safety.  Let us remind you that on the last tsunami alert due to Chile´s earthquake the expected big waves passed thru the Ecuadorian Coast without major impacts

Our current passengers and crew members are safe on board our fleet.  Sunday and Monday operation at the moment will remain as normal, any changes on the itineraries for safety reasons formally informed by the local authorities will be properly informed to you.

We will keep you posted with more news.
